Born and bred in London, Julia is well versed in exactly what a busy metropolitan family requires from a childcare recruitment company. A mother of two fabulous boys, Julia’s yardstick for placing applicants is whether she would feel comfortable leaving her own children with them. Only if the answer is yes, does she proceed.

Julia first set up North West Childcare, based in Cheshire, when she was disappointed with the quality of agency she encountered in her own search for a nanny for her sons. She went on to launch The Housekeeper Company, which specialises in providing foreign housekeepers to exacting clients nationwide. Following widespread demand from delighted Housekeeper Company clients across London, Julia subsequently launched the Childcare Recruitment Company, which has gone on to emulate the success of its northern counterpart.

Julia is a passionate advocate for families’ rights to quality and flexible childcare and is very involved in the REC childcare group and sits on the CACHE operations committee, helping to advise on what content should feature in the childcare qualifications. Her friendly and approachable manner inspires confidence in prospective clients and, as our office manager, Jayne’s efficiency, attention to detail and administrative skills are second to none.

Client liaison assistant, Joan McPhee, is an integral part of the Team and is on hand to assist with any questions or enquiries that may arise.

Her experience in customer service, administration and sales has proved a big help in her role within the business. Joan is a mother and grandmother and her cheery and outgoing personality make contacting the Company a pleasure.

Known as a "big sister" to her nannies, Lenka has accrued broad experience of childcare, having worked as an au pair, in a nursery and then as a nanny herself. Originally from Slovakia, she instinctively understands what nannies and clients want from each other and is known for her friendly, approachable and can-do manner. In Lenka’s own words, "a job is what you make it!"

Lenka has had recruitment experience running her own au pair agency and is responsible for interviewing all nannies. She is also on hand to deal with any concerns they may have once they have started a placement.
